USSSA BASEBALL DRAFTED LEAGUE

All-Star Division & A Division

Please be advised that A Division is for Drafted Leagues and weak Travel Ball Teams
(revised 08.24.08)

Introduction

The League/All-Star Program will give the traditional league based All-Star teams in the country the opportunity to compete among teams formed in a similar format.

The A Division is a level for the actual "league teams" to participate among themselves.

Players may play with an All-Star team and be on a AA, AAA or major team. Their tournament team classification will determine if they play National or American division All Stars. Age groups will include 4U-18U.

Qualifying for the A Division & All-Star Division

  • Teams will qualify through their approved League.
  • Each State Director will have the task of approving leagues in their respective state based on the criteria set forth by the National Baseball Committee.
  • League must have an approved draft system for league play.
  • Leagues will receive state championship and world series berths based on their league sanctioning with USSSA.  They will not have to qualify for these tournaments through tournament play.  Each league will be awarded a state and world series berth for every A team in their program.  They will also be awarded two all star state championship and world series berths for each age group in their program.  If the league would like to send more than two teams per age group, they should contact the state office to confirm that their will be adequate space to accommodate the additional teams in the events.
